When our kids were little, I can remember trying to come up with birthday party games for kids that were appropriate for their age. I was not very good at the task so my husband fell into the role of organizing all the games.
He was very good at it and for every birthday party he organized two or three games to keep the kids busy. They were mainly outdoor games because our kid parties were in the summer and fall.
I distinctly remember games that involved kicking a ball into a soccer net when the boys were about 4 and I remember the girls throwing ping pong balls into empty flower pots when they were about 5 years old.
