Pineapple Pecan Spread

My Mom used to make this Pineapple Pecan Spread recipe for 70s parties. When I started hosting my own parties, I got the recipe from her and have made it countless times since then.

Pineapple Pecan Spread

The key to this Pineapple Pecan Spread is to cover it and place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving (overnight is even better). The longer it sits the better is gets.

Ingredients
  • 2-8oz. packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp. seasoned salt (I use Lawrys brand)
  • 1 small can (or half large) crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1/4 cup green pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, mostly greens, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • Assorted crackers

Using an electric mixer, blend together cream cheese and seasoned salt on high speed until fluffy. Add pineapple, green pepper, onions and pecans and on low speed, blend well. Serve with crackers.

Get ready to hand out the recipe. I make this one a lot and somebody always asks me what's in it. Find more of my most requested dip recipes here.
