Purse Theme Party - Ladies Night Fun

We had a purse theme party with lots of food and fun that was centered around purses. We had tons of food, some of it being purse shaped cookies. We had a drawing for a purse.

We also had some games. We had a scale that we used for two games. Everyone had to weigh their purse as they came in, only one person could see and record the weight. Later we lined up all the purses (zippers and snaps closed and fastened) and then each lady could go down the line and pick up the purse to try and guess how much it weighed. For the results, we took each purse one by one and announced the weight. The lady that got the closest guess for weight got a prize (chocolate, of course!). After guessing the weights, the owners of the lightest and heaviest purse got a prize.

Another game we played was having everyone put their purse in a pile. Then each lady grabbed a purse that was not their own. They then had to guess who's purse it was. This was a great ice breaker because women had been invited from several different social circles, so it gave them a chance to introduce themselves as we went along.

One of the favorite games was "what's in your purse". We had everyone circle up with their purse on their lap. The hostess shouted out an item that someone might carry in their purse. The lady, if she carried the item in her purse, would dig around and get it our of her purse, jump up and run to put it in the basket. The first lady to place the item in the basket won a prize. We did several rounds of this game and it got crazy with women running to the basket, friendly competition as they pushed each other away. Items included toothpicks, anyone with an out of state license, a Costco card, a tampon, a tube of lipstick, a diaper, a toy, kleenex, etc. Of course we served great food and drinks. It was a great purse theme party that everyone felt comfortable participating in!

I too appreciate all the strong women in my life, there is something of honor to be a part of such magnificent women with so much to share.

Purse Parties
by: Chris Eckstrom - Miche Rep

I came upon this site looking for ideas for my Miche Bag business and I think they are all fantastic. At my home shows I play whats in your purse and incorporate the products that I have. It takes a bit of thinking to coordinate the items to the bags but its fun. I give out tickets for every item a woman has and holds up in her purse. You could make this very interesting with the questions you make up, depending on the personalities of your guests of course.

TPQ Comment: Great way to use the contents of each lady's purse.

Purse Party
by: Christine

I think this is a great idea and will definitely incorporate in my next girls night out party. I also have a friend who changes the purse with the outfit. Our purse is definitely a reflection of where we are in life from the days when it had the latest makeup, to things for the kids and now it has the latest gadgets.

Hen Parties Ideas
by: Sandee

This one had me laughing just thinking about it! I can imagine my friends and I talking about purses all night.

We love them and every time we get together, we are checking out each other's purses. "Oh, I love that purse. Where did you get it?" One of our friends has a purse for every occasion, I swear she does. We can't wait until she arrives to see what kind of purse she has with her.

Great idea for Hen Parties (aka Ladies Night!). Thanks for contributing.
